A Cow in Kenya - August 2010

For you who were asking, the cow Caleb purchased to replace the one killed by bees in Kenya has been named by the children. It is ''babuu'' which means in their language "from lovely grand father"..... Since the Pastor thinks of me as "daddy" (a common address for a spiritual father), the children regard me as grandfather.........

I am honored by their thoughts.

Praise Report from the Philippines!

Recent email from Pastor Marben:

Our vice governor sent you an email regarding meds and supplies.  What we did was to join their medical mission as we had no doctors to prescribe the medications. We sent our people to avail the presence of the doctors for check ups and other medical procedures.  We used the meds and supplies Caleb sent and thousands of people availed the medical mission. It was like a town fiesta in our town plaza. Several mayors were present and all the village workers of the city were there. The whole town including the mayors extend there gratitude and compassion you extended to them. The vice governor was so overwhelmed by our program. Now Caleb Ministry, the name Jerry Riess and even Elohim covenant church are popular. Tv stations and radio stations are airing the medical mission news.Praise be to God. Thank you again Caleb.

Ghana Container Arrives!

On Friday, July 25th, 2008, the 32nd Caleb Container destined for ports other than Romania, arrived at Ghana. The goods will be repackaged and distributed to new Caleb facilities in Sierra Leon and Abidjan as well as to Biafra, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Camaroons, Gold Coast and Liberia. The 40 foot container to Africa was our most expensive shipment ever, costing nearly $14,000 to deliver. Attached are photos of some of the contents at the Ghana warehouse.

The cost of shipping was high but the contents are estimated worth well over $260,000.00. The shipment will encourage many and provide 15 pastors with bicycles and 18 churches with computer systems. The medicines and medical supplies are destined for war zones in Sierra Leone and Biafra for refugee care.
